With Dynamics 365 for operations, all the AX developers have to now work move away from MorphiX and accept the Visual studio as their new Dev hub/IDE. And definitely Visual Studio has it own perks, especially the graduates fresh out of college and newbie developers having experience working with Visual studio can share/help the AX developers of the previous generations :)   And believe it or not, Visual Studio is going to celebrate 20 years as of March 7, 2017 .
