New Modules introduced in Dynamics Ax 2012

Microsoft has a range of products under the Microsoft Dynamics umbrella, few of them are as follows:

• NavisionThis product (Navision A/S) was bought my Microsoft on 11th July 2002. It is intended to assist with finance, manufacturing, CRM, SCM, analystics and electronice commerce for Small and Medium-sized enterprises.
• Axapta (Ax2009 & Ax2012)
  Axapta was originally developed as a collaboration between IBM and Damgaard as IBM Axapta. Initially released in March 1998 in Danish and U.S markets. Later IBM returned all rights to Damgaard. And Damgaard was merged with Navision software A/S, which was later acquired by Microsoft.
• Great PlainsGreat Plains software was acquired by Microsoft in April 2001. It is a mid-market business accounting software or ERP Software package marked in North and South America, UK and Ireland, the Middle East, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
• Solomon
  Solomon IV for Windows was created by Solomon software, which was an independent accounting software company in Findlay, Ohio. Was acquired by Great plains Software in June 2000. And Microsoft acquired the later in April 2001
• Concorde
  C5 was launched in 1995 to the DOS based Concorde C4 by Damgaard data. It was sold in Denmark and Arctos abroad. Later acquired by Microsoft.
• Retail Management System
  Dynamics RMS offers small and midsize retailers a complete point of sale (POS) solution that can be adapted to meet unique requirements. This powerful software package automates POS processes and store operations, provides centralized control for multi-store retailers, and integrates with many popular Microsoft applications.
• Custom Relationship Management. etc.
  Developed by Microsoft, this product focuses on Sales, marketing and Service (help desk) sectors. It is marketed as XRM (Extended Relationship management) and has been encouraging partners to use its proprietary (.NET based) framework to customize it to meet many different demands.
